Sign-up Information for Americas Army

There is alot of things to sign up for! Please bare with us. You won't have to touch most of it after you do sign up. And you don't have to sign up for this all at once you can do some one day and some the other. Most important is 'Username Change', 'Xfire', and 'Site sign-up'.

You may see a similiar window to the one in the link above pop up when you attempt to run Xfire or Ventrilo for the first time. When it pops up it's important that you click Allow or Unblock for them to work.

Load the site. At the top right click 'Your Account'. Then click 'Maintain Account'. For username put in your current username an for password put in your current password. Click 'Change Profile'. You will then see your username. You will be able to change it. Just backspace it out and use your name but add our tag })FA. Ex: })FA.IceBlade. Click next and you're done.

Load the site. Click download on the links bar. Click the 'Download Now' button. Save it to somewhere where you can find it. Then click 'Home' on the links bar. At the top left it says 'New Users Register Here'. Click it. Fill out the info and you can now login to Xfire. You can them proceed to adding your buddies. If you want a list of clanmates go to the AA Division page under Information and click 'Xfire List'.

Load the site. On the left click join. Select the Americas Army division from the dropdown list. Fill out the rest of the form. ICQ is not mandatory but won't let you leave it blank (Put some random numbers). Your username and nickname can be the same. Your username can never be changed but you can change your nickname whenever you please. Keep in mind your username and password are BOTH case sensitive. Click submit. Now on the left where it says 'Quick Links' and 'Forums' click 'General' it will load up our forums. Now in the Nav-bar click Register. Read the forum info, scroll down and checkmark that you have read and agree to our rules, then click Register. Create a Username and Password as well as a VALID email. You will be emailed and asked to confirm your email address. Your email is kept private at all times and will never be given out. For Image Verification put the numbers in the box to the right. If you have trouble reading these letters and/or numbers please contact an administrator. If someone recruited you ask for his forums name and put it in the Referrer box. Select your timezone. Leave the other options alone unless you know what they're for. Make sure the address 'contactfa@fallenangelsx.com' is on your safelist and click 'Complete Registration' and it should immediately send you a verification email. Click the link in the email to activate your account and then go back to the forums and login. Scroll down to where you see Americas Army. Click it. This is our forum. Click the 'New Thread' button. Create a topic named something like 'Hey I'm new here' post your contact info, including your xfire ID, and whoever recruited you.

Load the site. At the top click the 'Register' icon. For your username put whatever you want, and that you'll remember, as your username. For User ID of the user that recruited you ask your recruiter what their Tracker User ID is or if you don't know it put: 67419. For homepage put http://www.fallen-angels.net. Fill out the rest of the stuff and scroll down to bottom. Skip all the Yes/No crap. Click Register. Check your email of which you entered and follow the instructions in the activation email. Now login and at top click 'User CP'. Scroll down to 'Tracker Control Panel' and click it. Where it says Your ArmyOps Username? put in your army ops username. Ex: })FA.IceBlade. Now scroll down to Select your Clan. Put in 28248. Where it says Clan Memberpassword ? put 'fallen' without brackets. To see our stats go to the left and you should see something that says 'My Clan Statistics'.

Note: You need a microphone to use this but it's still good to have even if you don't so you can at least hear your team's communications. Load the site. On the left where the links are click 'Download'. Scroll down past the warnings (if there are any) and where it's blue and says 'Clients' there are 3 files. Click the 'Download' button for the 'Windows i386 - 32bit'. Once you've downloaded it open the program. Where it says 'Username' click the little arrow that looks like this ->. Click 'New'. Put in your username without tags. Where it says 'Phonetic' also put your name. But this one is for sound. For example when I join the server other people hear. 'IceBlade has connected'. Some words are not pronounced properly and you will have to fool around with spelling to get the right pronounciation. You can skip the Phonetic step altogether if you wish. Now where it says 'Server' click the little arrow again. Click 'New'. For name put 'FA' or 'Fallen Angels'. For Hostname or IP put power.typefrag.com. For port number put 18565. For password put wast3d. Click ok and click connect. You are now in our server! Double click a channel to join that channel. Now to adjust your settings. We prefer you have a key-to-talk hotkey instead of voice activated because when there are alot of people online playing it gets to confusing. So now click 'Setup'. Checkmark the 'Use Push-to-talk Hotkey'. Where it says 'Hotkey' Click there and select a hotkey. Mine is a button on the side of my mouse. Please note you don't want this button to be the same as a bind ingame. So don't like set it to the same key as 'reload' 'cause everytime you try and talk you'll end up reloading.
