Hello recruiters. We have compiled a checklist of things you need to make sure you cover when you recruit new members into FA. The list is short and simple. If you can't be bothered to do what's on this checklist, please don't bother recruiting. If you have suggestions, comments or questions, please feel free to message a HiC or up and we will work something out.
Have you.... Made your recruit get Vent and instructed him/her on how to set it up and that it is crucial for ingame communication. Made your recruit get Xfire and made sure s/he has added everyone on the Xfire list. Made your recruit fill out the FA join form to become a member of purgatory? http://www.fallen-angels.net/join.asp Points to Remember about the Purg Join Form 1) Make sure they join Americas Army division, not the pre-selected Counter-Strike division. 2) Make sure they put a valid email address, ICQ is not mandatory. Just put random numbers. 3) MAKE SURE THEY REMEMBER THEIR USER/PASS FOR THE ACCOUNT, remind them that it's for accessing site functions, and that it is case sensitive. Now that your recruit has successfully joined AA division purgatory... Give your recruit the address to our division page (or main page and show them how to reach the division page) and tell them to bookmark it, for they will need to access this page easily when they come online to login and check their profile. Show your recruit how to login on our division page and tell them to log in at least once per week. Briefly explain the Chain of Command/Rank Structure of FA. Explain to your recruit what purgatory is, here's a guideline: 1) Login now and again 2) Be active in game 3) No attitude problems Make sure your recruit DID NOT add the })FA. tags. The recruit must first be voted in to the division by the Warlord's and High Council. With your new recruit now starting to understand FA, let's get them on the forum... Give your recruit the address to our forum page and tell them to bookmark it, (or explain how to get to them from the main page) for they need to check the forums when they come and login to the site. Direct your recruit to the register link at the top of the page. Answer any questions/problems they have filling in the straightforward form for the forum. Have them post a new message on the Americas Army division forum with the following info: 1) Their AA username 2) Any contact info including Xfire 3) Any other information/messages they want to leave to their new clan ;) 4) That you recruited them Make sure that they get Xfire at http://www.xfire.com if they don’t already have it. Xfire is our means of contact, to see who is online, and where they are. With these things done explain to them that common sense and a positive attitude will get them far in this clan. That being said here are a few tips for types of people to look for while recruiting... 1) POSITIVE ATTITUDE 2) Not a complete idiot, can understand, comprehend and interact well with others in basic conversation (as simple as this sounds, I've seen a lot of firkin idiots come and go threw FA, and trying to explain an already complex system to a moron, just isn't fun, or quite frankly worth it. 3) Skill is not of huge importance unless they're looking to join us in ladders. 4) Past clans are not of importance. 5) Age...I could care less how old any of the recruits are providing they can show MATURITY and not be a complete jerk.. though try and look for older people since maturity tends to come with age. 6) Activity is a must for this division. Let's keep this ball rolling. I hope this checklist helps, and please, follow it. It's simple and shows everything your recruit needs to know to be a successful Fallen Angel.
